You are invited to join Kelli Martin and Terri Stevens of PROJECT RUNWAY on the
runway at the premiere of the Costume Couture Fashion Showdown...
a celebration of artistry, creativity + self-expression.
Open to professional fashion designers and design students
only. You present 3-4 garments from your collection and
then add a HighBall Couture Costume to the set. Your models
hit a 30 foot runway staged in the middle of High Street.
An enthusiastic audience and 4 decision-making judges
take it from there. The incomparable Nina West, drag queen
extraordinaire and 2008 National Entertainer of the Year,
will be the celebrity emcee.
One designer will be crowned HighBall Couture Costume Designer of the Year and receive a $1,000 prize package... and, of course, ultimate bragging rights. Moreso, your designs will have the ultimate platform to spotlight your passion and creativity, both in your signature collection and in your Couture Costume. Space will be limited to 15 designers selected by the organizing committee. Grants available: up to $250 for costume materials and model fees. Some models available through the event. Working with your preferred models is recommended. Hairstyling provided by Phia Salon.
